Why WrapNatural?
WrapNatural isn’t so much a product as it is a gift-giving philosophy. Americans throw away 25% more trash between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day than any other time of year, and that doesn’t include all the trash leftover from birthday parties, showers, and other holiday gatherings, which adds up to 15% of everything we send annually to landfills. It doesn’t seem right, we thought, to add to that environmental burden while we’re trying to celebrate meaningful life events. With our reusable gift-wraps you can live and give sustainably.

Why ditch disposable gift wrap?
In most cities, wrapping paper isn’t recyclable, thanks to metallic decorations and heavy-metal dyes that contaminate other recyclables. And when it’s being made, usually from virgin wood pulp, paper undergoes a chlorine-bleaching process that contaminates the air and nearby waterways.

What is it?
At WrapNatural, we design and make our own brand of fabric gift wraps all by hand. Here’s a link to our catalogue (pricing may vary), and of course, please check the products page for a current list of available gift wraps. In addition to our fabric wrapping cloths, Wrapnatural sells 100-percent post-consumer-recycled wrapping paper, as well as several Furoshikis - traditional Japanese wrapping cloths that are used for everything from carrying lunch to wrapping gifts. Simple and easy to use, Furoshiki wrapping cloths can be wrapped hundreds of ways and reused hundreds of times.

How do you use it?
Our reusable wrapping bags work just like disposable gift wrap. All are easy to use, and depending on your needs, some wrapping cloths offer greater control than others, like the gift-box wrap for instance. For instructions on how to use a Furoshiki to wrap books, wine bottles, and fragile items, see “How to Wrap Gifts with Cloth” or download our folding guide.

Where and how are Wrapping Cloths made? Our products are made by hand in the U.S. from natural fibers such as silk, linen and unbleached (muslin) cotton. Some of our products are made from factory remnants; these materials may not be 100% natural fibers. The wrapping cloths are hand printed with water-based ink and all are packaged in a plant-based clear and biodegradable* bag.
